THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO DON’T EVEN GET ONE MEAL A DAY!
- India ranked 94 out of 107 nations in the Global Hunger Index 2020. This puts it in the category of 'severe' hunger.
- The country also recorded a 37.4 percent stunting rate among children under five.
- In India, 14 percent of the population is undernourished, And a 17.3 percent wasting rate.
Despite this low ranking, there is a lack of effective monitoring, the implementation processes are inefficient, a siloed approach to dealing with malnutrition is prevalent, and large states are not performing well enough despite their low ranking.
Prabuddha Tathagat Foundation offers free food to the most vulnerable; eliminating hunger, feeding the hungry, reducing malnutrition, and reducing food waste through collaboration with stakeholders.
We also provide agricultural support to help farmers create environmentally sustainable crop production increases, adapt to climate change and improve their livelihoods. Our plan involves providing better inputs and technologies to poor agricultural workers while using their knowledge and experience in laboratories.
